Oakdale

In California there is a small town called Oakdale, where I live.  You might recognize it as the cowboy capital of the world, or remember it when driving past it to Yosemite.   This town holds the old Hershey's Chocolate Factory.  We also have a Cowboy museum, and out further away from town is the cheese factory.  We have fast food, and also sit down restaurants such as Ferrarese's Deli Restaurant.  If you are looking for a place to stay, the Holiday Inn is a great choice.  Though a small town, Oakdale is a diamond in the rough.

Yosemite

If you want to go on a fun camping trip, Yosemite is a great choice.  Waterfalls such as Yosemite falls locate there.  Half Dome is also located there.  The river is right next to the camping sight so you can swim, or even fish.  You can spend the night or just have a picnic.  The wildlife there is beautiful and the mountains are incredible.  You can mountain climb,  hike, and fish.  Though I've never been camping, I know lots of friends been camping there and love it.

Disneyland

If you haven't been to the happiest place on earth, trust me you are missing out.  This place really is fun, exiting, and full of adventure.  Disneyland is full of fun rides that are based on the stories and movies they made.  Across from the park is California Adventure, another theme park.  Disneyland has rides for small children such as It's a Small World, Buzz Light-year, Dumbo and more.  Not only are there rides, but shows such as World of Colors, and the Firework show that goes on every night at the castle.  There are restaurants inside the park as well as outside the park.  If you are looking for a fun family trip or even just a one man trip, go to Disneyland the happiest place on earth.

Belize

This past summer we travelled to Belize, a country in central America.  We actually stayed at a resort called Hamanasi.  It was extremely peaceful, and also very humid.  This resort was straight on the beach which was nice.  It offered free hammocks, canoes, and sun tan chairs.  There was a pool, hot tub, and the beautiful ocean.  Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were included with our room so we didn't need to pay meal.  They had the best nachos you've ever tasted, and I kid you not they are made with love.  All the ingredients are fresh out of the garden, and the menu changes daily.  There was a type of bread they had called manatee bread,  it is possibly the best food I have ever had in my life.  I could go on and on about the food, but I want bore  you with details.  Hamanasi offers lots of activities during the day such as, scuba diving, snorkeling,  Mayflower Hike, Jaguar Preserve, Mayan Ruins tour, Cave and Jungle tour, Tropical Birding,  Kayaking, Monkey River tour,  and much more!  This palce was absolutely incredible, and unbelievable.

Portugal

Roman Temple at Evora, Portugal
On my visit to Paris, I also travelled to Portugal.  Portugal is a country in Europe on the border of Spain.   It took almost the same amount of time to get to Paris as it did Portugal with a 14 hour flight.  We first got to Lisbon, the capital of Portugal.  This town was big, and I thought it looked like Sacramento.  after a day or two in Lisbon, we moved south to Evora. Evora was a small town, but had lots of history.  There we saw Roman ruins, and even a temple made of human bones!  It also had aqueducts on the outside of the town's  walls.

Paris

About 2 or 3 summers ago I went with my family to France, more specifically PARIS!  It was extremely exciting, and I could not wait to see the city where most girls dream of going.  We drove to the San Francisco airport and flew 1rst class on France airlines.  We actually went to Portugal first but, that's another post.  We had finally arrived after the 13 hour long plane ride, and it was worth it.  The airport wasn't actually in Paris, so we had to drive there.  Once we got there, we unpacked and rested from the long flight.  The next day, we went to the Louvre.  The Louvre is an art gallery, and a famous one at that.  It holds many beautiful sculptures, and paintings, such as the Mona Lisa.  The next day we went to The Eiffel tower, which is way bigger than I expected.  I learned that it gets painted every 7 years and they choose what color to paint it by voting.  The one in the lead right now is hot pink.   We went to a museum that held Neapolitan's dead stuffed horse.  We went to Rodin's  museum which had the Thinker.  This was my favorite place to visit, which is amazing based on the other things we saw.    After the Rodin museum, we went to the Arc de triumph which is way larger than it seems.  It was a workout just to get to the top, on the stairs!  During a full day, we took a tour of  Montmartre.  Here we saw the Moulin Rouge,  Vincent Van Gogh's house, and Sacre Coeur. Another day we visited Notre Dame, a famous catholic church.  The Phantom of the Opera was based on  the Paris Opera House, another attraction we visited.
